When everyone was ready, we left the studio and were driven uptown to the historic Lenox Lounge in Harlem, chosen by Mark for the shoot. We were ushered into the gorgeous Zebra Room and were introduced to the photo crew, who began a series of setups and test shots. They realized that Diane’s sexy dark dress would not work in the space, and within five minutes she was transformed from dark to light, now wearing an equally gorgeous cream colored dress and period hairstyle (to our amazement, the costume assistants had brought with them several pieces, just in case …..)  After several different

The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess at the A.R.T. features fresh, new arrangements by OBIE award-winning and Pulitzer Prize nominee Diedre Murray (composer of Best of Both Worlds).  Not to say that this is the first time the music of Porgy and Bess has been revisited; parts of the Gershwins’ iconic score have been covered, sampled, remixed, re-arranged, re-tooled and reworked countless times.
