BACCHIC delves deep into our personal and cultural relationship with alcohol. Comprised of adaptations of The Bacchae and Emile Zola’s L’Assommoir, BACCHIC opens up a conversation about the way in which alcohol affects our lives both positively and negatively. This new devised theater piece is both dance and theater, lecture and spectacle, performance and party.
Join In The Water Theatre Co. for a combination performance and party to explore and celebrate booze. While dancing to the beats mixed by KSO (ITW’s in-house DJ) experience BACCHIC in OBERON’s immersive space.
ITW‘s piece is rooted in the relationship between inebriation and community — using source texts, and the company’s own experiences concerning alcohol, consumption, and excess.
