Paul Buttenwieser

Dr. Buttenwieser is a psychiatrist and the author of two novels. He has served the A.R.T. as a board member since 1984, and was Chairman from 1992-1999. He is chairman of the board of trustees for the Institute of Contemporary Art, and is a trustee of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and of Partners in Health. Dr. Buttenwieser is an honorary trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He was a member of Harvard's Board of Overseers from 2001-2007.  In 1988 Dr. Buttenwieser founded Family-to-Family, an agency working with homeless families.
