Showcasing the dynamic nature of burlesque performers by by combining TEDx style presentations and live burlesque—by the same people—#DoBothBOS sets out to prove that you can be both a sexual object and a competent adult. After repeated, monumental success in Philadelphia, burlesque powerhouse Honeytree Evileye is teaming up with local producer Elsa Riot to present an educational, raucous night celebrating women who #DoBoth.
Honeytree Evileye (the burlesque moniker of Dr. Timaree Schmit, based in Philadelphia) works as an adjunct professor in Human Sexuality, dedicated to the cause that sexual freedom is the cornerstone of personal liberty. She is a weekly contributor to Philly Weekly, the host of the award winning podcast Sex with Timaree and a noted educator and community organizer.
Elsa Riot is a burlesque performer and producer based in Boston, MA. She is curator and host of Smoke & Shadows, Somerville’s premier burlesque and variety show, and has a background in human rights and development, primarily in the refugee field.
