Bawdy Storytelling – the Original Sex + Storytelling series – features real people & rockstars sharing their bona fide sexual exploits live onstage; think of us as a one night stand with The Moth & Savage Love. Storytellers are an eclectic mix of authors, porn stars, sex educators, comics & more, along with regular Joes just like you who submitted their stories online and were chosen for their panache and sense of (Mis)Adventure.

Bawdy Storytelling features tales of carnal wins & epic fails with no scripts, no nets, and no holds barred. These folks aren’t reading from cue cards: this is honest-to-badness story time with true sexcapades and poignant, transformational tales at each and every show. Join sexual folklorist Dixie De La Tour & hand-picked Rockstars as they share their own stories of love, lust, and making you feel funny in your bathing suit area. Hey, you may even go home with a few new tricks for your boudoir arsenal!

What makes Bawdy Storytelling unique? As part of this 10 Year Anniversary tour, we’re bringing our national conversation about sexuality to the OBERON on September 28. Where is sexuality at in *America*? How is our view of gender changing? Our live shows and podcast features personal stories from every corner of the country. For one night only, be part of our podcast with the added bonuses that you only get from a live Bawdy event: finding other people like you in Boston, being able to meet the storytellers who move you face-to-face, and our icebreaker game, Bang-O, makes it easy to find new, open-minded friends in your city. There is no better way to learn than through storytelling, and true stories of sex, kink and gender allow you to access a previously unknown world – right here in Boston!

Performer Bios:

❤ Dixie De La Tour is a sexual folklorist, storyteller, entrepreneur, teacher, catalyst, coach, community builder, facilitator, & instigator (& that’s just for starters). She is the founder, curator & host of the award-winning sex and storytelling series, Bawdy Storytelling (“The nation’s original sex and storytelling series” – Playgirl, “The Moth for Pervs” – LA Weekly)

Called “a stiff shot of courage in a push-up bra”, Dixie is passionate about storytelling’s power to connect strangers. A former sex party producer & adult dating site community manager, she founded Bawdy Storytelling (a multi-city brand of sex-positive self advocacy that’s changing the world and making our relationships more authentic and accessible) over 10 years ago to build community & unite strangers – oh, and it’ll probably get you laid, to boot. We’ve been doing that successfully for a decade!

As a storyteller, Dixie’s own stories can been heard on the Risk! podcast and her own Bawdy Storytelling podcast (which was selected by Esquire.com as a top 5 ‘Best Sex Podcast’) Ping her (she likes that) at @Bawdy, facebook.com/DixieDeLaTour & at www.BawdyStorytelling.com

❤ Rachel Lark is a San Francisco based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Her music has been featured on The Savage Lovecast and Salon.com and she tours regularly throughout the U.S. and Europe. She was signed last year to not a cult records with the studio album, They’ve Done Studies, released in Spring 2017. She debuted a new show at DNA Lounge that she successfully funded through a Kickstarter campaign, and just finished touring with a full band as Rachel Lark and the Damaged Goods. Find out more about Lark at www.rachellark.com,www.facebook.com/larksongs & at @rachellarkmusic

❤ Jaclyn Friedman’s work has redefined the concept of “healthy sexuality” and popularized the “yes means yes” standard of sexual consent that is quickly becoming law on many U.S. campuses. She is a popular speaker and opinion writer and the creator of three books: Yes Means Yes: Visions of Female Sexual Power and a World Without Rape, What You Really Really Want: The Smart Girl’s Shame-Free Guide to Sex & Safety, and the forthcoming Unscrewed: Women, Sex, Power and How to Stop Letting the System Screw Us All. Friedman hosts Unscrewed, a critically acclaimed podcast exploring paths to sexual liberation.Find out more on Twitter at @jaclynf or at https://www.jaclynfriedman.com

❤ Jessica Cerretani is a Boston-based writer, storyteller, and comedian. She has performed at Oberon, Improv Boston, and Bambusa Naples and is currently a story curator for the Boston chapter of Mortified. When she’s not sharing tales of teenage angst on stage, she’s busy ghostwriting sex books and wrangling her 10 cats.

❤ Lilian Rogers originally hails from Connecticut, and settled in the smallest state five years ago, where she lives with her wife, cat & rescue dog, in a Craftsman bungalow with too many pieces of Mid-Century Modern furniture. In the daytime hours, you can find Lilly at the Center for Sexual Pleasure & Health, fulfilling her role as Program Director or slinging tacos on a RI food truck.

❤ Michael Noel is a Massachusetts native who owns an interior painting and design business in Boston. He lived in San Diego and Los Angeles from the age of 21 to 32 where he married a woman, left her and figured out he was gay. To say that Michael has had an interesting life is an understatement, and one day he plans on actually finishing his memoir. Michael’s passion for cars and motorcycles leaves him a little out of the gay “box,” but promises he is still good at sex and flower arranging.
