WBUR's Serious Fun: "An Evening of Comedy and Storytelling with Ophira Eisenberg"
OBERON Shows
One night only! Second show added due to popular demand! November 11, 2014 at 7:00PM and 9:00PM

Join WBUR for the first installment of their new comedy series, "Serious Fun," with a night of standup comedy and storytelling from Ophira Eisenberg. Boston audiences know and love Ophira from her regular live appearances as the host of The Moth Mainstage with WBUR. She’s also the host of NPR’s hit trivia comedy show, Ask Me Another, where she has interviewed and played silly games with the likes of John Turturro, Justin Long, Elizabeth Gilbert, Cristin Milioti, Doug Limon, Dr. Ruth, Lewis Black, Hannibal Buress and more. A comedian and writer, Ophira has appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, The Today Show, Comedy Central, and VH-1. Her debut memoir, Screw Everyone: Sleeping My Way to Monogamy was recently optioned for a feature film with Zucker Productions. Selected as one of New York Magazine's Top 10 Comics that Funny People Find Funny, and featured in the New York Times as a skilled comedian and storyteller with a “bleakly stylish” sense of humor, Ophira has appeared as a panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me! She is also a regular host and teller with The Moth and has appeared on their award-winning podcast, radio show and Audience Favorites compilation. Ophira recently recorded her second comedy album, BANGS!, which will be released on New Wave Entertainment in November.

Proceeds from ticket sales will support independent news and programming on 90.9 WBUR, Boston’s NPR news station.
