Read SubmissionMy story is a part of American history because we all impact the future in many different ways like voting, opinions, and more. When creating the declaration of independence, human rights, equality, and freedom were all very important, as I learned from the play. We definitely know what happened in our history, which means there is absolutely no reason to forget about it as a myth. We have to remember what happened in our history because if we forget it, we will continue it. An honest reckoning with our past is essential to helping us move forward together because it allows us to recognize where we went wrong and how these issues affected others. It will help us improve what the future holds, which is something that we desperately need. Last but most definitely not least, I really want to thank everyone involved in this. Over the past week or so, I’ve learned so much, and I really feel like I understand what has happened in our past. I thought that the musical was amazing, (I would love to see it again) and it really inspired me to help the U.S. live up to what it was supposed to be.
Thanks again,
John Harvey
