The DoI contained much power from Americans, but was also abused + taken advantage of (a variety of minorities have been exploited, such as Black Americans). During the creation of the DoI, only the interests of White rich men were taken into consideration. For example, think about the hypocrisy of Jefferson writing how slavery is bad but having hundreds of slaves for himself. I think this hypocrisy is something that your production relayed beautifully through music and humor. I enjoyed your production so much! We all learned from it and were kept engaged through dances + singing. Thank you!
