When creating the Declaration of Independence the founding fathers took into consideration the inalienable rights of Americans in the colonies who sought independence from the restraints of Great Britain. A major idea of the Declaration of Independence included people having rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. This was globally revolutionary because this call for independence inspired many rebellions and movements in other countries, demanding their own independence from imperial powers.
