The Declaration of Independence is an incredible document, written by very wise and brave men. The words are magnificent, "...all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights...Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" Yes, these men were most definitely not perfect and were full of contradictions (like all of us are) but, by rising up against the tyranny of the British and declaring these words, these men paved the way for America to become the beacon of hope and the country that we are today, promising liberty and justice for all.
