Kahlua Pecan Pie

From the Whittemore Kitchen

 

Ingredients:

  • Pastry crust

  • ¼ cup butter

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 1 tsp. vanilla

  • 2 tbsp. flour

  • 3 eggs

  • ½ cup kahlua

  • ½ cup dark corn syrup

  • ¾ cup evaporated milk

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

  1. Line a 9” pie plate with your favorite crust. Chill.

  2. Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla, and flour.

  3. Beat in eggs, one at a time.

  4. Stir in Kahlua, corn syrup, evaporated milk, and chopped pecans. Mix well.

  5. Pour mixture into pie crust.

  6. Bake for 10 minutes at 400°, then reduce heat to 325° and continue to bake until firm (about 50 mins to 1 hr, start checking every 5 mins at about 45 mins total time).

  7. Chill.

  8. When ready to serve, top with whipped topping if desired. Enjoy!
