The American Repertory Theater (Cambridge, MA) Ticket Services department may be reached during business hours at 617.547.8300 or TicketServices@amrep.org. Communications received while the office is closed will be addressed within two business days. While in performance, they can also be reached in person at the Loeb Drama Center in Cambridge. See our Contact Us page to check our current business hours.
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds. All audience members, including children, must have a ticket to attend. Tickets must be presented at showtime for entry to the theater. Performances are subject to change including performers, dates, and times. All policies and procedures are subject to change.
Ticket Exchanges
Though we do not offer refunds, ticket exchanges for any reason are available with a minimum of 24-hours advance notice. Exchanges cannot be completed retroactively and may be subject to a $10 per ticket exchange fee. Exchanges must be made between performances of the same production; unfortunately, we cannot make exchanges between productions. If the performance you are exchanging into is more expensive, or you originally purchased with a discount that is no longer valid, you will be charged the difference in price.
Please consult the performance calendar before placing an exchange request and, if possible, identify three options for new dates to help expedite your request.
Note: Ticket Services will contact you to complete the request and to complete payment if there is any difference in ticket price.
If you or someone in your party are unwell, we ask that you please not attend the theater for the wellbeing of our staff, artists, and your fellow audience members. Please contact Ticket Services for ticket options due to illness.
Cancelled Performances
In the event of a cancelled performance, the value of your ticket is safe and, if you choose to exchange into another performance, your exchange fees will be waived. Exchanges out of a cancelled performance are subject to availability. We will do our best to find you an alternative date and comparable tickets. Any additional exchanges will be subject to the regular exchange policy.
Extreme Weather
The A.R.T. rarely cancels performances due to poor weather conditions. Please assume that the performance will go on as scheduled and allow yourself extra time to arrive safely. If the performance is cancelled in the event of extreme weather, ticketholders will be contacted as soon as possible with ticket options. If your safety is a concern, please contact Ticket Services so we can try to help you find an alternative date.
Third-Party Sales
Please be careful of third-party ticket sellers as you will often overpay and may potentially purchase a fake ticket. The A.R.T. does not support the unlicensed, unauthorized reselling of tickets, and doing so above printed face value is barred by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The A.R.T. selectively participates in sales with only the following authorized and verified third-party ticket sellers: TodayTix, ArtsBoston BosTix, and Harvard Outings & Innings. We are not affiliated with and do not authorize resale on any other site, including but not limited to: Vivid Seats, Seat Geek, Ticketmaster, StubHub, Ticket-Sales.com, TicketCenter.com, and Boston-Theater.com. We reserve the right to require that tickets be picked up at Will Call by any suspected unauthorized ticket reseller.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates of any amount can be used for ticket purchases including subscriptions, memberships, and merchandise. We recommend gift certificates as the best way to gift tickets so the recipient can choose their preferred dates. Gift certificates do not expire and come in the form of a code that is redeemable online during checkout or through Ticket Services.
