Mark Wing-Davey

British director, actor and teacher Mark Wing-Davey (The Provok'd Wife) first came to prominence in the US with his internationally award-winning production of Caryl Churchill's Mad Forest, produced at Central School, Royal Court Theatre, London; National Theatre of Bucharest; New York Theatre Workshop (1992 Village Voice OBIE Award as Outstanding Director of the year); Manhattan Theatre Club; Berkeley Repertory Theatre; Pittsburgh Public Theatre. Recent credits include The Love Song of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Carson Kreitzer (world premiere production of the Rosenthal Prize-winning play, Cincinnati-Playhouse-in the-Park); Henry V (starring Liev Schreiber), New York Shakespeare Festival, Delacorte Theatre; King Lear, PlayMakers Rep in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Small Tragedy by Craig Lucas (world premiere), Playwrights Horizons - Obies for Best New Play and Best Ensemble, Shaftesbury Theatre, London; and the world premiere of Dirty Dancing, Theatre Royal, Sydney.
