Apple Crisp
From the Kitchen of: Martha Stramp (Anchorage, AK)
Ingredients:

4-5 apples (jazz or braeburn)

1 cup brown sugar

1 ¼ cup quick-cooking oats

½ cup dark corn syrup

¼ cup apple juice
-
2 tsp. cinnamon
-
1 stick butter
-
3 tbsp. cornstarch
Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°.

Peel and slice apples into 8×8 pan.

Mix cornstarch with 1 tsp cinnamon and stir into apples.

Combine corn syrup and apple juice and pour over apple mixture.

Soften butter (15 sec. in microwave)

Stir oats, brown sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon into butter. Mix well and spoon over apples.
- Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm with ice cream.
