Apple Pie

Ingredients:

Pie Crust:

2 ½ cups flour

2 sticks butter

1 tbsp. sugar

1 tsp. salt

Pie Filling:

7-8 green apples
-
½ cup sugar
-
Juice 1 lemon
-
1 ½ tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp. flour

Directions:

Prepare pie crust: mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter in cubes using forks or pastry blender til pea-sized crumbles.

Form into 2 balls, cover tightly with saran wrap and put in fridge for 2 hours or more.

Prepare filling: peel, core, and thinly slice apples.

Toss in bowl with cinnamon, sugar, lemon juice, and flour. Let rest.

Roll out pie dough into 9 inch pie dish.

Put filling in dish.

Cut 1 tbsp butter in cubes on top. Roll top pie crust, cover filling, and seal.

Brush with milk, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Bake at 425° for 45 min.
