Peanut Butter Whip Whip & Ba-Nae Nae Pie

From the Kitchen of: Cara Lynn Hall (@CaraMia1331)

Ingredients:

  • Graham Cracker Crust:

    • 12 Chocolate Graham Crackers

    • 1 Stick Unsalted Butter

    • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar

    • ½ tsp. Cinnamon

  • Peanut Butter Whip, Whip! Filling (from noblepig.com):

    • 1 cup Cold Heavy Whipping Cream

    • 5 tbsp. Confectioner’s Sugar

    • 5 tbsp. Powdered Peanut Butter

    • ½ tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract

  • Banana Pudding:

    • 1 Large Banana

    • 2 Boxes Instant Banana Cream Pudding

  • Chocolate Shavings:

    • 1 Large bar Milk Chocolate at room temperature. If you prefer Dark Chocolate I’m sure you can use it, but I’ve read that Milk is easier to work with.

Directions:

Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Place Graham Crackers in a gallon-sized freezer bag and use a rolling pin to crush.

  3. Melt butter

  4. Combine the Graham Crackers, Sugar, Cinnamon & Melted Butter.

  5. Mix well & then press mixture into a pie dish.

  6. If you find that the mixture is not sticking together well enough, add ½ tbsp. of water at a time to the mixture. Don’t oversaturate.

  7. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes.

  8. Allow to cool on a wire rack.

Filling:

  1. Place filling ingredients in a bowl and whip until stiff peaks form. ***Do not double this recipe in the same bowl, it will change its texture***

  2. Once the crust has cooled, prepare the pudding as per instructions on the box.

  3. Slice the banana & cover the crust with it.

  4. Spread the Peanut Butter Whip Whip over the Bananas and then pour the prepared pudding on top of that.

  5. Refrigerate for 2 hours before eating.

Chocolate Shavings:

  1. On a countertop, place the Chocolate onto a piece of aluminum foil. Allow some of hte foil to hang over the edge of the counter, curling that excess foil up to catch chocolate shavings.

  2. Bring the edge of the chocolate over the edge of your foil.

  3. Using a vegetable peeler, shave the chocolate. Place into a bowl and into the refrigerator until you’re ready to eat with pie.

  4. Top the pie with additional, regular whipped cream & chocolate shavings.

  5. Enjoy!

  6. For extra taste, it’s best made while listening to “Watch Me” and doing the Whip & the Nae Nae!

Jenna is a waitress and expert pie maker, is stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage. Her customers, co-workers, and the town’s handsome new doctor all offer her conflicting recipes for happiness—but Jenna ultimately has to decide for herself. This poignant and uplifting new musical celebrates friendship, motherhood, and the courage it takes to pluck a long abandoned dream off the shelf. Waitress is a new musical directed by Diane Paulus, featuring music and lyrics by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles.
