Arliss Howard
Arliss Howard (Mikhail Lvovich Astrov in Uncle Vanya) was previously seen at the American Repertory Theater in the title role in Ivanov, as Uncle Peck in How I Learned to Drive, and as George Garga in In the Jungle of Cities. Other theater credits include Keith Reddin's Life and Limb at Southeast Repertory Theatre, Marlanne Meyer's Geography of Luck at Los Angeles Theatre Center, Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind (directed by Robert Woodruff) at the Mark Taper Forum, Shepard's The Late Henry Moss and Killer's Head at the Signature Theatre, New York, and The Monogamist at Playwrights Horizons. Mr. Howard's film roles include Big Bad Love, which he also directed; Amistad; The Lost World: Jurassic Park 2; To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar; Wilder Napalm; Ruby; For the Boys; Men Don't Leave; Tequila Sunrise; and Full Metal Jacket. On television he has appeared in a number of films and miniseries, including William Faulkner's Old Man, The Man Who Captured Eichmann, Someone Has to Shoot the Picture (ACE Award), and I Know My Name is Steven.
