Aurora Lee

Aurora Lee (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, creative-branding strategist, and cultural worker whose practice is rooted in community-centered storytelling, embodied knowledge, and cultural preservation. Ethnically Malagasy from the Merina people of Madagascar, and raised between the Ivory Coast and France, Aurora’s work is shaped by diasporic identity, migration, and a deep relationship to ancestral and collective memory.

Aurora works at the intersection of arts administration, digital strategy, and movement-based practice, supporting community-based and Indigenous-led organizations. Her professional focus is on helping mission-driven cultural institutions articulate their values, and build sustainable, responsive relationships with their communities.

Alongside her administrative and branding work, Aurora has a background in theatrer and dance, and is deeply invested in trauma-informed and somatic approaches to movement and storytelling. Her artistic practice centers the body as a site of knowledge, healing, and resistance, drawing inspiration from Indigenous practices and community-based learning. Through both her creative and organizational work, she is committed to indigenizing artistic spaces and contributing to more equitable, culturally responsive arts ecosystems. Aurora is passionate about leadership models that are collaborative, embodied, and rooted in care, and she seeks opportunities to strengthen cultural institutions from within while remaining accountable to the communities they serve.
