Dan O'Herlihy

Veteran actor Dan O'Herlihy (James Tyrone in Stamford, CT performances of Long Day's Journey Into Night) spent much of his theatrical career at the Abbey and Gate Theatres in Dublin, Ireland, where he appeared in over seventy plays, including the lead in the original production of Red Roses for Me by Sean O'Casey, and more recently in the world premieres of The Last Hero and A Better Place. His american theater credits include Orson Welles' Macbeth at the Mercury Theatre (and the film), John Houseman's Measure for Measure in Los Angeles, King Lear at the Houston Shakespeare Festival, and Mass Appeal at the Drury Lane Theatre, among others. An Academy Award nominee for his performance in Robinson Crusoe, Mr. O'Herlihy's other film credits include John Huston's The Dead; MacArthur, The Tamarind Seed , Imitation of Life , Fail-Safe, Robocop and Robocop 2, among others. Television credits include Nancy Astor (Masterpiece Theatre/BBC), The Secret Servant (BBC Miniseries), and guest appearances on Murder She Wrote, L.A. Law, The Equalizer, and Trapper John, M.D. among others.
