Deborah Jane Drew, MBA, EIT/FE

Deborah (Debbie) Drew is the President and CEO of Drew Quality Group, Inc. (www.DrewQG.org) a tax exempt 501(c)(3) Biopharmaceutical manufacturing company whose mission is to address drug shortages and pricing issues by producing high quality generic drugs in the United States, using a diverse and inclusive work force.  This mission will on-shore high quality manufacturing jobs through the establishment of domestic manufacturing capacity, while enriching local communities and providing support for science and engineering education.

Debbie is a veteran of the US Army and has over 28 years of manufacturing experience at biopharmaceutical companies around the world. Debbie has an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master in Business Administration.  She also teaches and lecturers on engineering topics for industry organizations, colleges, and universities, and participates in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Education Coalition outreach activities to middle school and high school students.

Debbie has held leadership positions in LGBTQI employee networks in large international corporations, is the Chair of the Out&Equal Workplace Advocates Transgender Advisory Committee, was a member of the team that wrote Out&Equal’s Workplace Gender Identity and Transition Guidelines, is the Vice-President of Worcester Pride, is the Secretary of Log Cabin Republicans of Massachusetts, is an advisor to Boston Pride, teaches on Professional Image for Careers, and lecturers on workplace diversity and inclusion topics with a concentration on the impact of Unconscious Bias on LGBT People of Color, Bisexuals, and the Transgender Community.

On 22 July 2016 Governor Baker appointed Debbie as a Commissioner Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.

Debbie is also the proud parent of two adult children; a daughter and a son and has one very curious grandson who is helping her to see the world anew.
