BIOGRAPHY

Frances Chewning

Frances Chewning (Cassandra in Animals and Plants) is a second-year acting student at the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University. She was last seen as Yelena Popova/Masha in Three Farces and a Funeral on the Loeb Stage and appeared as Lena in the Institute production of Leonce and Lena; Rosina in Goldoni's The Holiday Trilogy; the Mistress in Tolstoy's Fruits of Enlightenment; an Angel in Shaw's Passion, Poison, and Petrifaction; and Sonya in Uncle Vanya. Before coming to the A.R.T. Institute she earned a BA in philosophy from Lawrence University.
