J. Smith-Cameron

J. Smith-Cameron originated the role of Sissy Bemis Darnley in the WPA Theater production of The Naked Eye (then called The Naked Truth) at the WPA Theater and received a Drama Desk nomination. She appeared on Broadway as Libby in Blue Window, Ilona in The Play's the Thing, Felicty in The Real Inspector Hound, Dabby in Our Country's Good (Tony nomination), Maggie in Lend Me a Tenor (Outer Critics Circle Award), Babe in Crimes of the Heart, and Grekova in Wild Honey. Off-Broadway she was seen in the title role of Desdemona at Circle Repertory Theatre, as Diana in Mi Vida Loca and Rhonda Louise in Women of Manhattan at Manhattan Theatre Club, Sally in The Voice of the Turtle and Nancy in The Knack at the Roundabout Theatre. Her film credits include Mighty Aphrodite, Jeffrey, 84 Charing Cross Road, Sabrina, That Night, and Let It Be Me, among others.
