James T. Alfred

Current: A.R.T.: Friar John/Sampson in Romeo and Juliet. Graduate of the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University (2006). Institute credits: The Bacchae, Demons, and Neil Lebute's This is How it Goes. Other: To Kill a Mockingbird with Kansas City Repertory Theatre and Arizona Theatre Company; world premiere of Red Shirts by Dana Yeaton with director Lou Bellamy, founder and artistic director of the Penumbra Theatre in St. Paul, MN, and the Round House Theatre in Silver Spring, MD; Young Blood in August Wilson's Jitney at Kansas City Repertory Theatre and Arizona Theatre Company; Sundown Names and Night-Gone Things, Chicago Theatre Co.; Killing Me Softly (Black Theater Alliance Award nomination — Best Actor) and Conversations on a Dirt Road, ETA Creative Arts Foundation, Chicago; and SOST, Victory Gardens Theater, Chicago.
