Jesse Lenat

New York theater credits for actor/songwriter Jesse Lenat (Wings of Desire) include Rent, New York Theatre Workshop; Tooth of Crime: Second Dance with original music by T-bone Burnet (directed by Bill Hart/Sam Shepard), Signature Theatre/Second Stage at Lucile Lortel Theatre; Fucking A at the Public Theater; Texarkana Waltz (original music, music director) at Kirk Theatre; and Floyd Collins at Playwrights Horizons (cast album). He appeared at Actors Theatre of Louisville, Dallas Theatre Center, Alley Theatre, the Guthrie Theater, American Music Theatre Festival, Wilma Theatre, and performed a solo show on the life of Woody Guthrie as well as his own music; recently completed a month-long residency playing his original music at the Living Room (voted best club in New York City for singer songwriters by Time Out New York); worked with John Cougar Mellencamp and Stephen King on a project called “Ghost Brothers” in which he played the Shape. He has also appeared on film and television.
