BIOGRAPHY

John Feltch

John Feltch (Duke of Gloucester/Henry Percy in Richard II and previously Sir Colenso Ridgeon in The Doctor's Dilemma) was born and raised in the Boston area, and spent much of his professional life at the Alley Theatre in Houston, where his roles have included Brutus in Julius Caesar (co-produced with the Moving Theatre in London, England); Prior Walter in Angels in America, Parts I and II (also performed at the Venice Biennale in Italy), for which he received Best Actor Award in 1996 from the Houston Press; Herault in Danton's Death; Garga in In the Jungle of Cities; Gerry in Dancing at Lughnasa; Jacques in As You Like It; Solyony in Three Sisters; John/James in Love, Valour, Compassion!; Henry in The Real Thing; Reverend Hale in The Crucible; Lloyd Dallas in Noises Off; and Dracula in Dracula: A Musical Nightmare (also performed at San Francisco's Alcazar Theatre). He also appeared as Vladimir in Waiting for Godot and Clive/Edward in Cloud Nine at Playmakers Repertory Company, Hector in Troilus and Cressida and Antophous in Comedy of Errors at the Berkeley Shakespeare Festival, and, recently, as the Baron, Lord Byron, and Don Quixote in Camino Real at Hartford Stage Company.
