BIOGRAPHY

Kate Wisniewski

Kate Wisniewski graduated from the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University in 1999. Since then, she has made her home in Seattle, WA. Recent performances include Agnetha in Frozen at The Empty Space Theatre, as well as Emilia in Othello and Paulina in The Winter’s Tale at Stage Left on San Juan Island. Kate appeared as Bridget Cleary in the critically acclaimed world premiere of Burning Bridget Cleary at the Capitol Hill Arts Center (CHAC), a project she originated and developed with the director and playwright based on the last ‘official’ witch burning in Western Europe. Also at CHAC, she appeared in an all-female production of Shakespeare’s King John. King John was the inaugural production of upstart crow, an all-female classical company of which Kate is a founding member. She has also appeared in the Seattle area at ACT, New City Theatre, and the Tacoma Actors Guild, where she played Inez in No Exit, directed by fellow A.R.T. Institute grad Leland Patton. At the American Repertory Theater she appeared in How I Learned to Drive. Kate is a Certified Associate Instructor of Fitzmaurice Voicework and currently teaches acting at Seattle University and voice at Freehold Studio/Theatre Lab. Kate’s voiceover work can be heard in numerous commercials and video games.
