BIOGRAPHY

Nurit Monacelli

Nurit is a native New Yorker and a classically trained violinist. Her NYC credits include One for the Road (Drama League), New Georges' new play Commedia Dell Smartass, the title role in Miss Julie (The Culture Project), Charles L. Mee's Bacchae 2.1 (Rude Mechanicals at the Flea Theatre), and Hyperreal America (International Wow). Her many regional credits for Shakespeare plays include The Merchant of Venice at the American Repertory Theater. Internationally, Nurit has performed at the Andrews Lane in Dublin. Her TV credits include All My Children and As the World Turns. Independent film credits include Wanderlust (Sundance Film Channel), In Burn Norton (Anthology Film Archives), Bohica (Cleveland Film Fest), and the upcoming feature The Standard Man. Nurit is a 2000 graduate of the American Repertory Theater/Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University, and holds a BA from Brown University.
