Patrick Carmichael
Patrick Carmichael was asked to participate in The Blue Flower here in Boston because he’s the only drummer who has ever tackled this music since Jim Bauer first presented the idea in 2000. He currently lives in Brooklyn, New York. Back home, he keeps busy subbing for The Lion King on Broadway, playing in Woody Allen’s Dixieland Band, and going out on the road with Bill Haley’s Comets, among many other things. One of Patrick Carmichael’s favorite things to do is to lay down an infectious groove on the drums and bring the music to life, a passion that has kept him gainfully employed for over ten years.
