BIOGRAPHY

Richard McElvain

Richard McElvain (St. Nicholas) has been acting and directing in the Boston area for twenty-five years. His credits include To Kill a Mockingbird, Bang the Drum Slowly, and the Lady from Maxim's at the Huntington Theatre; Barking Sharks and Unexpected Tenderness at Gloucester Stage; and The Scarlet Letter, Sylvia, and Twelfth Night at the New Repertory Theatre; among others. He also appeared at the Merrimack Repertory Theatre and the Boston Shakespeare Theatre Company. His directing credits include many of the classics as well as the works of Israel Horowitz at the Gloucester Stage and Off-Broadway. Mr. McElvain played Mr. Crain in the film Mermaids and appeared in several episodes of Spencer for Hire.
