BIOGRAPHY
Sara Reid
Sara Reid is a woman residing in the historic North Shore of Boston. She describes herself as a Gardener with an insatiable curiosity about everything. She is a Transgender Health Advocate and Educator. Currently she serves on the Boston Healthcare For the Homeless Board of Directors, the Consumer Advisory Board, and has been active in the Boston Medical Center 'Transgender Patient Task Force.' She had a backround in psychology, counseling and has significant backround in Manufacturing and Retail. Sara first sought out help for her gender identity in 1993 when (in her experience) the topic was still taboo even to speak about. The difficulty and obstacles of transitioning at that time as a person of limited means has made her a staunch advocate for makeing Transgender Healthcare available to all who need it. Sara is the proud parent of a son and a daughter and has three grandchildren. She has been lying about her age so long that even she doesn't know how old she is!
