Sophia Brion-Meisels, BFA, LICSW, began her dance training with Boston Youth Moves and earned her BFA with honors from the Alvin Ailey/Fordham University program. She performed nationally and internationally with companies including Donald Byrd/Spectrum and Forces of Nature, and appeared in productions such as West Side Story, Aida, and the Neil Young tour. Following her dance career, Sophia earned her Masters in Social Work from Hunter College. Her work now focuses on supporting youth impacted by trauma and advancing equitable access within educational systems. Grounded in social justice and healing-centered practice, she creates spaces that uplift and honor the strengths of young people.
