Timothea Pham

Timothea Pham is the Cultural Districts Officer at the Massachusetts Cultural Council, where she leads the Cultural District Initiative. She works with municipal leaders, artists, and community partners to support the cultural life of communities, nurture their distinct identities, and expand access to arts and culture across Massachusetts. At the heart of her work is an understanding that spaces are not neutral, and that when shaped with intention, cultural places can become powerful sites of connection that help communities grow and thrive.

Timothea joined Mass Cultural in 2019 after building a career in community-based arts programming and public engagement. She has helped produce large-scale community festivals for cultural organizations and municipalities throughout Greater Boston, and has led communications and community engagement efforts within the arts, technology, and real estate sectors. Across these roles, her work has centered on building partnerships, highlighting local voices, and using culture as a tool for community connection and civic vitality.

Originally from Southern California, Timothea holds a degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in Public Advocacy and Rhetoric from Northeastern University. In addition to her public sector work, she remains deeply engaged in creative practice, collaborating with small businesses on photography and digital storytelling, developing a family cookbook that honors her Vietnamese-American heritage, and pursuing her own artistic interests in writing and piano.
