Trevon Sullen-Trotter

Trevon Sullen-Trotter is a trumpeter, composer, and audio engineer from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, double majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production, and Music Production and Engineering. Trevon is currently a master’s student in the Global Jazz Performance Program at Berklee. As a trumpeter, Trevon is inspired by a plethora of players including Christian Scott, Freddie Hubbard, and Sean Jones. His trumpet playing can be heard on the soundtrack of the Hulu series “Algiers, America.” During his time at Berklee, Trevon fell in love with music production. He has refined this love further by discovering his affinity for music production in the context of visual media. Trevon also has a love for community engagement and youth programs. His prior passion mentoring and tutoring his peers has evolved into a passion for mentoring younger musicians. His most recent project has been to help lay the groundwork for the marching band at the Hamilton-Garrett Center for Music & Arts where he teaches the HBCU Marching Band tradition with the hopes of giving students a pathway to college.
