Yolande Bavan
Yolande Bavan makes her American Repertory Theater debut as Gower and Cerimon in Pericles. Recently seen in Trinity Repertory Company's production of Homebody Kabul (Homebody). Broadway: Chronicle of a Death Foretold (Placida). Off-Broadway: House of Flowers (Otilie), Salvation (Ranee), Snow White (Luna), Leaves of Grass, and A Midsummer Night's Dream (also at the Royal Court Theatre in London). Resident credits: guest artist for three seasons at the Cleveland Playhouse and the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company, and Syracuse Stage. London, England: Caesar and Cleopatra (as Cleopatra, Duchess Theatre), The Oresteia (Old Vic), and The Tempest (Oxford Playhouse); Oslo, Norway: Tater (Nye Theatre). Films: One True Thing, Parting Glances, and The 13th Warrior. Television: Law & Order, The Today Show, The Tonight Show, and The Merv Griffin Show. Ms. Bavan also performed as a singer in Europe, Asia, and Australia, appeared with the the award-winning jazz vocal trio Lambert, Hendricks, and Bavan, and recorded numerous albums and CDs for RCA Victor. Ongoing narrator of the "Talking Books" programs for the Library of Congress. Upcoming: PBS film Cosmopolitan with Roshan Seth.
