Last year, during Notes from the Field, our audiences helped us collect 100 books for the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services. In collaboration with the literary works on our stage this December—adaptations of Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility and E. B. White’s Charlotte’s Web—we are again partnering with the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services for a December Book Drive.
All donations will be used to provide youth involved in the juvenile justice system with quality, engaging books designed to foster an interest in reading and the development of practical skills. By expanding the reading materials available to these youth, we help them envision a world bigger and richer than their current circumstances and equip them for a life of learning.
