We believe that teaching children creativity, teamwork, and empathy through theater helps them become engaged citizens.
A.R.T. Kids Company
Join in the funnest, wackadoodle-est,
supa-dupa-crazy-pants
Saturdays in Cambridge!
A.R.T. Pipsqueaks is for young children ages 3 and 4 and a caretaker! Each week, join our teaching artists in creating and exploring stories using movement, music, and imagination. The program creates a fun and relaxed environment that is a great introduction to theater and storytelling for younger students.
A.R.T. Kids Company, Jr. is our classic creative playmaking program for students ages 5 to 7. Each week, we start with a children’s storybook centered around a theme—which could be anything from under the sea to American folk tales—and use improv games and creative play techniques to act out the story LIVE!
A.R.T. Kids Company is an advanced ensemble theater program for students ages 8 to 10 with strong reading, writing, and teamwork skills. Over the course of the semester, we will be creating a new play inspired by an upcoming A.R.T. production. The students will serve as writers AND performers for a world premiere workshop performance (would we have it any other way?)!
A.R.T. Young Company is the next step for our Kids Company program for students ages 11 to 13. Through the semester, we will create a new play with a deeper focus on ensemble-building, teamwork, and writing that expands upon our classic curriculum. Students still serve as writers and performers for a world premiere workshop performance!
A.R.T. Teen Company is for teens ages 14 to 16! Students will deepen skills from the A.R.T.’s core curriculum—ensemble-building, teamwork, and writing—with an additional emphasis on performing skills and opportunities for creative leadership as the group develops their own world premiere workshop performance.
