Celebrate National Poetry Month early with House Slam Boston and the Boston Poetry Slam, two national poetry powerhouses that will take their heads-up rivalry to the stage for the fourth year running. Captains Oompa (House) and Simone Beaubien (BPS) will kick off a night of top-shelf slam as the two venue’s battle it out for the biggest bragging rights in the city. This year’s annual contest will feature brand new work from Brandon Melendez, Angelica Maria, RebeccaLynn, JR Mahung, Bobby Crawford, Emmanuel Oppong-Yeboah, Neiel Israel, Porsha Olayiwola, and more! A cast of all-star judges and local musical talent will round out the bill, including an opening set from comic and storyteller Wes Hazard.
