On Thursday, May 18, artists, staff, and supporters of the 2017 A.R.T. Gala gathered on a warm, sunlit evening at the Loeb Drama Center to celebrate the opening of the American Repertory Theater’s production of Arrabal. Executive Director Diane Quinn and Artistic Director Diane Paulus were in attendance, as well as many members of the Harvard community and the creative team behind Arrabal, including director Sergio Trujillo (choreography, Invisible Thread, Jersey Boys, Memphis, Next to Normal), composer Gustavo Santaolalla (composer, Brokeback Mountain, The Motorcycle Diaries, Babel), and bookwriter John Weidman (book, Assassins, Contact). After a catered reception, audiences were treated to a pre-show tango lesson led by the cast of Arrabal.
