Futurity Young Inventors’ Club: THE UNITER
APR 25, 2012
Hear ye, hear ye! The Futurity Young Inventors’ Club continues with the unveiling of a second utopian machine designed and built by the middle school STEM Club at the Murphy School. Behold…
THE UNITER
This machine will be installed in most urban centers, where it will act as a hub for conflict resolution and resource management. The Uniter is equipped with the following features:
• Keyboard and HD display, used to translate typed text into any language.
• Long-range “Persuader” module with the ability to alter individual’s mental states, thereby eliminating their reason for engaging in conflict. (Note: the Persuader also analyzes user’s brain patterns when they use the Money Giver or Food Giver, to detect deceit/greed.)
• “Money Giver” to dispense funding to the poor.
• “Food Giver” to dispense nourishment to the hungry.
• Full-time maintenance support from skilled mechanics, who also stock money/food in the respective Givers.
The Uniter attacks war and conflict from many angles– economic, social and emotional. It’s friendly humanoid-esque design encourages users to interact with it. Keep your eyes on this fascinating invention. The Royal Society of Science approves!
Futurity: A Musical by the Lisps, now playing until April 15th.
