Amnesty International
Amnesty International is a global movement of people fighting injustice and promoting human rights. The orgnization works to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. Currently the world’s largest grassroots human rights organization, Amnesty International investigates and exposes abuses, educates and mobilizes the public, and helps transform societies to create a safer, more just world. The Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth (BAGLY)
The Boston Alliance of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Youth, is a youth led, adult supported social support organization, committed to social justice, and creating, sustaining and advocating for programs, policies and services for the LGBTQ youth community. Throughout its history BAGLY has advocated and provided leadership for an LGBTQ community driven statewide and national systems approach to working with LGBTQ youth. As a founding organization of the National Youth Advocacy Coalition and the Massachusetts Governor’s Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth, and by establishing the GLBT Youth Group Network of Massachusetts, our vision and innovation has led the way in building a stable local and national infrastructure vital to today’s LGBTQ youth work. Today, BAGLY provides community-based leadership development, health promotion and social support programs for Massachusetts LGBTQ youth communities, and is a leader in local and national LGBTQ youth advocacy work and workforce development.

Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Transgender Program
The Transgender Program opened in November 2008 to address these challenges with a unique, integrated service model. Medical and support services are offered within a culturally appropriate framework by trained providers at a dedicated time in a safe place.  The BHCHP Transgender Program is the only clinic of its kind serving transgender people in Boston who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Services include: primary care, walk-in urgent care, behavioral health care, crisis intervention, HIV counseling and testing, case management, weekly support group, free legal clinic offered monthly by MA Transgender Legal Advocates.

Black & Pink
Black & Pink is an open family of LGBTQ prisoners and ‘free world’ allies who support each other. It’’s work toward the abolition of the prison industrial complex is rooted in the experience of currently and formerly incarcerated people. Outraged by the specific violence of the prison industrial complex against LGBTQ people, Black & Pink responds through advocacy, education, direct service, and organizing.

Fenway Health
For more than forty years, Fenway Health has been working to make life healthier for the people in our neighborhood, the LGBT community, people living with HIV/AIDS and the broader population. Fenway was founded in 1971 as part of the free clinic movement by students who believed that ‘healthcare should be a right, not a privilege.’ In its early days, Fenway was a drop-in clinic providing free blood pressure checks and STD screenings. Over the years, Fenway obtained permanent space and incorporated as a freestanding health center with a staff of one volunteer doctor, one nurse and one intake worker. Today, Fenway Health has a budget of more than $90 million, a staff of 500 and a patient population of more than 28,000. Fenway Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center.

Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD)
GLAAD works through entertainment, news, and digital media to share stories from the LGBTQ community that accelerate acceptance. As a dynamic media force, GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change.

Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders (GLAD)
Through strategic litigation, public policy advocacy, and education, GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders works in New England and nationally to create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation.

Boston GLASS (Gay & Lesbian Adolescent Social Services)
Boston GLASS (Gay & Lesbian Adolescent Social Services) provides a continuum of services to LGBTQQ+ youth of color and their allies in the Greater Boston area. As a leader in LGBTQ+ youth services, we also provide education and consultation to other providers and community organizations.

Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN)
GLSEN (pronounced “glisten”) was founded in 1990 by a small, but dedicated group of teachers in Massachusetts who came together to improve an education system that too frequently allows its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) students to be bullied, discriminated against, or fall through the cracks.  Over 25 years later, that small group has grown into the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe and affirming schools for LGBTQ students. GLSEN and it’s staff wants every student, in every school, to be valued and treated with respect, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. All students deserve a safe and affirming school environment where they can learn and grow. GLSEN accomplishes goals by working in hallways across the country — from Congress and the Department of Education to schools and district offices in your community — to improve school climate and champion LGBT issues in K-12 education. Every day GLSEN works to ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment.

Mass Trans Political Coalition (MTPC)
Founded in 2001, the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition (MTPC) is an advocacy, education, and community-building organization that works to end discrimination on the basis of gender identity and expression. This includes working towards the empowerment of all persons who have been, are being, or might be deprived of equal rights and/or fair treatment because of their gender expression or identity. Rooted in social justice, MTPC educates the public, advocate with state, local, and federal government, engage in activism, and encourage empowerment of community members through collective action.

Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), Greater Boston Chapter
Uniting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) with families, friends, and allies, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education, and advocacy. PFLAG has 400 chapters and 200,000 supporters crossing multiple generations of American families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced, and serviced by PFLAG National, located in Washington, D.C., the National Board of Directors and 13 volunteer Regional Directors. PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

TransCEND (Transgender Care and Education Needs Diversity)
“A program of AIDS Action Committee and is affiliated with Fenway Health. Founded in 2005, TransCEND is Boston’s first program by and for Transgender Women. It offers one-on-one support, group support, and appointment accompaniment for medical care and legal name change. TransCEND primarily serves Trans Women and their partners, but always welcome all people regardless of how you identify on the gender spectrum. TransCEND also offers information and support for medical and mental health professionals, educators, and allies interested in supporting transgender clients. Drop-ins welcomed, appointments recommended.

Transgender Emergency Fund
The Transgender Emergency Fund of Massachusetts is a non-profit organization providing assistance and support to low-income transgender residents of Massachusetts. Made up of volunteers, Transgender Emergency Funds is a group of transgender people and allies committed to providing peer support and short-term financial assistance.
