This summer, twenty middle-schoolers from all over Boston have come together to write, design and perform four original plays inspired by the themes of Finding Neverland. With the help of theater pros from the A.R.T. and writing mentors from 826 Boston, the ensemble has invented an adventure through uncharted Neverlands– from the dark underbelly of a utopia where junk food grows on trees, to a lost island ruled by dragons. That’s right. There are dragons.
The annual A.R.T./826 Boston Summer Theater and Writing Camp culminates with the premiere of the campers’ original plays at the historic Strand Theatre in Dorchester. Join us for this hilarious, inspiring and thought-provoking celebration of our local youth’s imagination. Also, DRAGONS.
