The 2025 Gala will celebrate A.R.T. Trustee Fay Lampert Shutzer and her husband Bill Shutzer for their continued support of the A.R.T. and fundraising leadership towards the A.R.T.’s new home, the David E. and Stacey L. Goel Center for Creativity & Performance. The event will begin with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner, a live auction, and an invigorating artistic program. The annual Gala supports the A.R.T.’s engagement initiatives and groundbreaking programming that expands the boundaries of theater, engaging hearts, minds, and bodies to imagine collective pathways forward. Bill and Fay have been ardent supporters of Harvard University since Bill graduated from Harvard College in 1969 and Harvard Business School in 1972. In addition to giving their time and financial support to the A.R.T., where Fay has been a trustee since 2017, they continue to support numerous other University initiatives including the Harvard College financial aid program, the Harvard Radcliffe Institute, and Harvard Basketball.

Lauren Patten

Lauren Patten (she/her) is a multi-talented actress and musician. She is best known for starring as Anna Collier in the Hulu original series “Death and Other Details,” and for her Tony-, Grammy-, and Drama Desk Award-winning performance in the Broadway musical Jagged Little Pill. Most recently, Patten starred in the new rock musical The Lonely Few at both the Geffen Playhouse and New York’s MCC Theater. Other stage credits include Fun Home on Broadway, The Wolves (Playwright’s Realm; Obie and Drama Desk Awards), Days of Rage (Second Stage Theater), Spring Awakening (Deaf West Theatre, Los Angeles). On television, Lauren recurred as Officer Rachel Witten for seven seasons of the beloved CBS police drama “Blue Bloods.” She has also recurred on “The Good Fight” (Paramount+) and guest starred on “Succession” (HBO). As a musician, Patten has played shows at Sony Hall, Rockwood Music Hall, Mercury Lounge, and Tavern on the Green with her band. Their EP was released in March 2024. Patten currently resides in New York City.

Ashley LaLonde

Ashley LaLonde is a professional actor, singer, and dancer based in New York City. She was recently seen in the hit Broadway musical Hamilton, where she covered all three Schuyler Sisters (Eliza, Angelica, and Peggy/Maria) on the national tour. A.R.T. credits include: The Black Clown (World Premiere), ExtraOrdinary, Burn All Night (World Premiere), Arrabal (US Premiere), and Violet on a moving bus. Other favorite credits include Natalie in Next to Normal (Westport Country Playhouse), Angela in Punk Rock Girl! (Argyle Theater), Sheila in Hair (Connecticut Stage Company), and Sister in Bloodwork (National Black Theatre). Ashley has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Sony Hall, 54 Below, and more, recently debuting her hit solo show to a sold-out audience at the Green Room 42. This year she’s making her TV debut in an upcoming, highly anticipated Netflix series. Ashley made history as the first ever Black woman to star in the Hasty Pudding Show at Harvard, where she graduated early with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, a minor in Theater, a certificate in Spanish, and an award for Artistic Excellence.

The Opportunes are Harvard’s oldest (and boldest) all-gender a cappella group, bringing you the best that collegiate a cappella has to offer from Harvard since 1980. Our style ranges from the soulful stylings of Whitney Houston to the epic drama of Labrinth, all the way to the pop hits of Beyoncé and the funky classics of Stevie Wonder.

Bryan Perri

Bryan Perri is an award-winning musician. Perhaps most known as a music supervisor, orchestrator, arranger, music director, and conductor, he is also an American composer. His debut single, “No Words” is available on all streaming platforms. On Broadway, Bryan was most recently Music Supervisor and Conductor of Almost Famous; the world premiere at San Diego’s Old Globe earned him the prestigious Craig Noel Award for Best Music Direction. He served as Music Director and Conductor of Jagged Little Pill, which earned nine Tony nominations. His extensive Broadway credits extend to the hit musical Wicked, where he spent five years, and the original company of Chaplin, for which he not only served as Music Director, but Dance and Vocal Arranger. He also served as Music Director for the Broadway National Tour of Next to Normal starring Tony Award winner Alice Ripley. Off-Broadway credits include Superhero, Dogfight, and Vanities at Second Stage. He was Music Supervisor for Disney’s Freaky Friday premiering at Signature Theater, Limelight at La Jolla Playhouse, and Music Supervisor and Co-Orchestrator for the world premiere of the critically acclaimed new musical The Lonely Few at the Geffen Playhouse. Bryan recently made his Carnegie Hall debut conducting a performance of Few Words, an evening of his compositions.

The Harvard Undergraduate Drummers (THUD) is a student-run organization at Harvard College that likes to get together and hit things. They play everything with percussive potential: drum set battles, arrangements of pop and classical music, original pieces on found instruments like plastic cups and chalkboards, drumming on buckets, and more. Inspirations include STOMP and the Blue Man Group.

Program Ads

Individuals, corporations, and local organizations are all welcome to purchase advertising space in this year’s printed program. A program advertisement is a unique way to personally congratulate the honorees, share a favorite moment from A.R.T.’s forty-five seasons at the Loeb Drama Center, or promote your company’s commitment to the arts. Program advertisements must be received by Friday, March 21, 2025.
