American Repertory Theater, Middlesex Community College, and History UnErased welcome the LGBT+ Arab community and their allies to Hurriyya Night: An LGBT+ Arab Community and Allies Gathering. An evening of storytelling, dialogue, and community, this event is inspired by A.R.T.’s upcoming production, We Live in Cairo. This new musical tells the story of the young Egyptian revolutionaries who took to the streets in 2011 to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak.
Join us for an evening intended to create space for understanding, awareness, and community. The show’s creators, brothers Daniel Lazour and Patrick Lazour, will also be on hand to discuss the show and speak to their process.
The event will be held in the theater of the Richard and Nancy Donahue Family Academic Arts Center. Refreshments will be provided.
