Directed by Helen Deborah Lewis

Originally directed by Fran Charnas, musically directed by Ron Roy

We all know a Mother Mary—a mother who critiques her kid’s fashion choices, pokes fun at her kid’s love life, and disapproves of her kid’s artistic career—all with her kid’s best interest at heart. Growing up in Everett, Massachusetts Meagan Michelson never realized that her mother Mary’s bits of advice, in her gratingly charming Boston accent, were actually comedy gold. Now a brassy twenty-something, Meagan uses stories and songs to reflect on her unsexy past, influenced by her mother’s unintentionally humorous wisdom. Musical styles range from The Beatles to Ethel Merman. Meagan will be accompanied by the inimitable Matt Lowy on piano. It’ll be wicked pissah.
