In honor of National Poetry Month (whatever that means), DigBoston is putting poetry back into the hands of the people. On April 29th, you’re invited to join Toni Bee, Poet Populist of Cambridge, at OBERON for a remedy to the open poetic forum dearth. Featured poets will include Matt Ganem, Richard Pfaff, Scott Krave, Phillipe Martin Chatelain of InParentheses Magazine, Greg McKillop from the band Speaker for the Dead, Samantha Milowsky from Amethyst Arsenic, and more. Including you, since there’ll be an open mic segment at the end so that aspiring poets get to stand on the same stage as the established voices. And don’t worry: the bar will be serving a magical liquid that gives you the courage to do shit like this.
So come on. Get your sweaty palms around that mic and hold on until security comes.
