Join us for a special theater and Tonys-themed trivia contest hosted by Broadway aficionado and A.R.T. Assistant Director of Membership and Donor Relations Sean Cummings. Bring a team of your favorite theater enthusiasts for an interactive afternoon of merriment, multimedia trivia, and the chance to win A.R.T.-themed prizes. Teams of any size and participants of all ages and knowledge levels are welcome!
How to Play
Before the Event
- Assemble your team! Members of a household can play together, or coordinate with other households to form a team.
- Choose a team captain, who will be responsible for recording your answers and keeping score for your team.
- Make sure that all your team members have downloaded Zoom and are registered for the event. All registered participants will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link you’ll use to tune in for trivia. Each team member will need to tune in to the webinar to follow along with our questions.
- Decide on a way to communicate with your team to discuss answers. If you’re not in the same household, you should use a non-Zoom method to connect with your teammates during the game: a group text, Slack, Facebook Messenger, Google Hangout, FaceTime, Skype, or another method that you’re all comfortable using. Make sure to set this up in advance.
Day of the Game
- Decide on a fun team name! Make sure it’s something you’re comfortable submitting in the chat so other players can see.
- We know that everyone has easy access to the internet, and the temptation to look up answers is real… we’re operating on the honor system, so please refrain from cheating!
- At the end of each round, we’ll post the answers on our slideshow—captains should tally up points at the end of each round. Keep your team up to date on their progress! Post pictures and updates using #ShowMustGoSean and tag us @AmericanRep!
- Not a Broadway expert? No fear! All prize-winners will be selected at random at the end of the game. That’s right, if you stick around for the whole event, your team could win some A.R.T. swag.
