Boston/NYC-based band, What Time Is Mr. Fox? will dive into sacred and profane aspects of love, sex and identity in this musical circus, celebrating the release of their latest CD “A Little Bit Of Blue.” Accompanied by aerial performers on trapeze and silks (Flight or Flight NYC) boylesque (HomoErectus NYC), dance and animation, the ensemble will take familiar archetypes like the Pierrot, Cupid, Martyr & Trickster and literally turn them upside down.  Fronted by the powerful supple voice of divo, 3rian King, the band mixes soul music with baroque and medieval flair, sounding something like male-version of Adele leading a steampunk parade. Time Out NYC’s Adam Feldman recently advised, “catch him as his star rises” when giving the band his critic’s pick of the week.   Mr. Fox will perform their original song “Cold Rain” which was covered by soul legend, Irma Thomas, on her Grammy-nominated CD, “Simply Grand.”  The night will also feature premiere videos, including “The Ladies Tree,” an animated-short about Joan of Arc by award-winning filmmaker and Harvard professor, Ruth Lingford.  Gypsy-art-rockers, Bury Me Standing open the night.
