The Groundbreaking Opera Created by Three Harvard Alumni World renowned composer John Adams, librettist Alice Goodman, and acclaimed stage director Peter Sellars speak with Harvard President Drew Faust about their collaboration on “Nixon in China,” the contemporary opera about President Nixon’s 1972 trip to China.  Since Sellars directed its world premiere at the Houston Grand Opera in 1987, Nixon in China has become an enduring and significant entry in the landscape of American opera.

The panel, which is free and open to the public, is part of a series of events commemorating the 375th anniversary of Harvard University and showcasing some of its most illustrious graduates.
